So, a while back in the in the burgeoning beginnings of my weight revolution my sister, Corinne, asked if I wanted to do the Whole Life Challenge with her. Now, I’ll get into details about that some other time, but if you want to learn more about them now – look here.
The challenge is a lifestyle reboot and through a point system it measures lifestyle and nutritional participation. You compete not only against your team, the folks you sign up with, but also against all the WLC participants. It certainly played to my competitive nature, or at minimum my nature that can’t stand to be the worst at something (I’m OK if I’m not the best… I think).
One of the core tenants of WLC is that you lose a point every time you consume sugar, starches, soy etc etc. But, my need, nay, my great desire for sweets scratched at me. So, I needed to find a compliant cheat – a workaround.
Our friend Jocelyn, who was also participating in the challenge, sent us this link from Pop Sugar: Active aka Fit Sugar (love them!) with a recipe for Katy Perry’s PB&J smoothie. Bless it.
I was too busy thinking about drinking this to take step-by-step pictures. But, here’s the half finished final results. Delicious and at about 170 calories (I only make half the recipe) it’s a satisfyingly sweet breakfast or snack.
